Invisibles will be up Monday night!

Invisibles #364 is up and active, and we've posted the answers and high scores for Invisibles #363.

Okay, most of you won't know what TammyTown is, so I'll tell you. It's a local indie flick filmed a few years ago and set in the '80s, in which my girlfriend (complete with '80s-ish big-hair extensions!) stars as one of two Tammys, rival high school students. (She was 23 when she played the part.)

The Nipplette has been too embarrassed to show me the movie, as she just went to the casting call to be an extra for fun, but the director liked her and cast her in one of the main roles. But today it's coming out on DVD, so I'll finally get my chance! And much to the Nipplette's chagrin, I'm telling the world about it! So, go check out the TammyTown trailer or this scene from the movie, or go to the IndiePix website, as they're the distributors of the DVD. I know it may not mean that much to you folks, but I can't wait!

Nipples is off to California for the holidays, which means that FilmWise is taking a little holiday as well. The Invisibles are going to be up an extra week, but the next batch will be up on Sunday the 31st. See you then, and seasons greetings and stuff!

The carving takes place tomorrow morning, and although I've got next week's Invisibles ready to go, they might end up hitting the site a day or two late, depending on what kind of shape I'm in over the next few days. We'll see.

After more than four years of getting a new Invisibles Quiz up every week (with a handful of From the Vault exceptions), Nipples is giving himself something of a break this summer.

What does it mean to FilmWise? It means that every Invisibles Quiz this summer will contain a mix of new Invisibles and Invisibles from the vault. How many of each will vary from week to week, but there will always be at least two or three new ones. Also, the question of the day will be recycled each month, as some of you have already noticed.

What does this mean to Nipples? An enjoyable summer for a change, and a chance to actually see the outdoors. Hell, maybe he'll even find a life! (Apologies, but I need this...)

The quick scoop is this: We were not hacked, as many of you feared, since people were directed to a site called OddTodd.com. It was simply a problem with our host (who also hosts OddTodd.com), who was in the process of switching their clients over to new servers.

For Tournament #3 participants: It was crap timing, seeing as how yesterday was the deadline for Round 2, and many of you could not submit your answers. As a result, I'm extending the Round 2 deadline to next Friday, April 1st. Round 3 will go up as scheduled tomorrow evening, but will run for two weeks, with the deadline being Friday, April 8th. (The reason I'm extending that deadline is that you won't know the Round 2 scores til next weekend, and I think it's nice to know where you stand while doing the last round.)

I apologize for the inconvenience and frustration and stuff.

Okay, after a year of promises, The Boyz have finally put together a schedule for Tourney #3! Sign-ups will begin later this month, and the tourney itself will begin on Monday, February 7th, with three rounds running through most of the month.

However, we've got several DVDs (see the banners to the left) to give out right freaking now, so in the meantime, we've got...

Tourney 2.5 will be a great way to whet your appetite for Tourney #3, and to get an idea of some of the puzzles we'll be presenting in The Big One. It's also a chance to win some great prizes. And even if you're "movie challenged," you've got a chance to win, as several of the prizes will be given out through a random drawing. So check it out, sign up, have fun and good luck!

Incidentally, as several of you have pointed out, even movies that have "II" in their official title will only be marked correct if you use a "2" instead of "II". Without going into boring detail, this is a limitation of our scoring mechanism. So just use "2"s and you'll be just dandy.

Anyhoo, as a result, I'm short Invisibles for the second week in a row. The good news is that I had already created half of this week's Invisibles, so Invisibles #202, which is up and active, is a combo of four new images and four stolen from the FilmWise Vault. Holy crap! Has it been 200 Invisibles quizzes already? (Yes.) I can't believe I've been doing this that freaking long, but there you have it. Invisibles #200 is indeed up and active, and we've posted the answers and high scores for Invisibles #199.

Will there be 200 more? My God, I hope not. (Um...just kidding?)
