I shed a tear or two, also. Not ashamed to admit it.

Didn't quite make me cry, but it was rather excellent.

YOU CAN NOW PRE-ORDER THE 31-DISC HARRY POTTER WIZARDS COLLECTION, WORKING WAND NOT INCLUDED

Use this link for info on this 31 disc (Blu-Ray and DVD) special box.

It'll cost you $350, but that's after savings of $150 from the suggested retail price. A bargain....

The books are $7.99 each. For those of you who might know, is there any difference between the English (GB) and English (US) versions of the book, besides the spelling and the switch from "Philosopher's Stone" to the "Sorcerer's Stone"? I kind of like the idea of reading it in it's original English  plus, I would save 6 cents. The British version is $7.93.

I think the only difference is the Zucchini/Courgette conversation in the half blood prince

I bought the ebooks a couple of days ago. I downloaded them to both the kindle and the iPad and I must say it has made me excited to re-read them at last.

As for your question, there is no reason why you couldn't read the British versions. That said there also isn't really a reason why you should. There are no changes to plot or anything, just minor lingual ones. You know, skip instead of dumpster, Minister FOR Magic instead of Minister OF Magic. That sort of thing.

You can find out more here: http://www.hp-lexicon.org/about/books/differences.html

I prefer the UK novels and the Stephen Fry audiobooks for obvious reasons, and I do think some of the changes are pointless and were only put in to cater to "dumb Americans", but I also don't really see that it would make for much of a different experience.

So who else is on Pottermore? I've started a re-read at last and I'm working my way through Philosopher's Stone. All the new content is fun to have as a companion as I read. But potions are really difficult to make!

Anyway, I'm WaveQueen478. Add me as a friend if you feel so inclined.

Also, maybe someone would be interested in doing a reading group of the novels? Just throwing it out there.

I joined up too. I'm WolfsbaneQuaffle14254. I have been rereading the books on Kindle too. I am near the end of Goblet of Fire.
