I got impatient and looked them up. I wouldn't say any are specifically bad songs, just overplayed or not to the readers of Rolling Stone's taste. The fact that they are memorable means they're not bad. Turn on any UK commercial radio station now and I guarantee they will be playing a worse song.

The two obvious ones that have to be on there are two songs I must have heard at least 300 times each. Barbie Girl, and Mmm Bop.
