I'm liking the look of Lovebox in London, Likke Li, Joy Formiddable, The Drums and Snoop!

And in Camden they're doing a free festival during the whole of July, but you have to enter a ballot for tickets, could be fun
Unfortunately being a teacher screws with my festival timetable, I wish I could have gone to Download.

Among other things, I recently unearthed the 3 disc set "The Remains of Tom Lehrer". Man was a twisted dude, but funny!!

Just started listening to a band called Ivy (they kept popping up on my Pandora station that was based on The Sundays). Really good stuff if you like the latter band.

The Heavy-The House That Dirt Built.jpg
I had no idea that Letterman asked them to do an encore during their appearance, his first time ever to do so.

A couple of songs have been used in commercials, so you may recognize them.

After finally getting around to watch From The Sky Down, I'm unable to stop listening to one of my favorite albums of all time.

Have you gotten a chance to see them live yet?
I was kinda floored by how pitch perfect they were. Maybe it was just a more sober than usual night for them, but their harmonizing was excellent, every single time.
Really like that band myself, also.

Blowing me away, this cat.
This song drags just a little bit before the solo at 4:00, but then it is just fantastic.

Before that it had recently been Laura Marling, of whom (I must add) I find myself quite dissapointed in our friends across the pond for not alerting us to earlier... yeeow.
