Love them. Plus, they (1) sampled Kraftwerk, and (2) had Brian Eno play on the album. Thumbs up.

If you added an "i" to then end of Chris Martin & Gwenyth's baby, she'd be Apple Martini. That's just wrong.

The first four CDs I've bought in about two years... I've only bought six CDs ever. A weird four albums to start, but I like 'em.

Bob Marley & the Wailers - Legend (Deluxe Edition) - :5stars:
I've only ever known their most famous hits, but this compilation is a gem. The first disc has 16 of the legendary tracks remastered, while the second disc has some remixes, which all work extraordinarily well.

Image
Various Artists - When Love Speaks - :impossibletorate:
This is a compilation where Shakespeare sonnets and excerpts from his plays are read and sung by a wide variety of actors and musicians, such as Joseph Fiennes, Annie Lennox, John Gielgud, Alan Rickman, Richard Attenborough, John Gielgud, John Hurt, Ralph Fiennes, Imelda Staunton, Kenneth Branagh, Timothy Spall, Jonathan Pryce, Bryan Ferry, and many more. It's hard to rate, but it's definitely very pleasurable to listen to.

Image
John Legend - Get Lifted - :3.5stars:
Surprisingly uplifting, soulful and addictive R&B. It's not exactly groundbreaking, but it's very promising from an extremely talented guy.

Image
Aimee Mann - The Forgotten Arm - :4stars:
Got this ages ago, but somehow forgot to mention it here. Excellent fifth album by Mann, definitely up to her standards. It's a nice concept album, telling the story of John, an addicted boxer returning from the Vietnam War, and Caroline. Video and Little Bombs are two of the most wonderful tracks I've heard in ages.

Image
Elliott Smith - Either/Or - :4.5stars:
I had already listened a lot to From a Basement on the Hill, and loved it, so decided to try this earlier Smith. Well, it's Elliott Smith - what more do I need to say. The man was a genius. Endless relistenability value.

I also got some albums by Pavement, The Libertines and The Strokes, but haven't had a chance to listen to them much yet.

The correct answer was everything by Dismemberment Plan. If you don't have all their albums you're going to burn in hell.

The theater of noise is proof of our potential. The circulation of autotypes. The golden talisman underfoot is phenomenon approaching. And, in the history of now, all ethos are designed.
