2015 Music Quiz

#1 Post by Dawson » 02 Dec 2015, 00:58

Hey,

Can we sticky this?

So me and Scruluce are going to do a Christmas music quiz, or attempt one anyway, so let us know here who is in and who is out.

(Only typing this here so we actually get off our butts (and by we, I mean me, and off our I mean off my) and actually move ahead with this bad boy.)

Is this going to be like listening to clips and identifying the song/artist? Or more like answering questions?

In, if I can remember to check in here and there. Doesn't help that I am off for half of the month, but I'll try.
It's fun, it's healthy, it's good exercise. The kids will just love it. and we put a little sand inside to make the experience more pleasant.

ok... Lets do this:
I have copied the rules that Sugarpuss made as, why mess with perfection!!!
Not many questions, but something to keep you going for the next month when you're bored
Many thanks to Scruluce for doing half the work! Sorry I slacked off to get it on here so late but what else has anyone got planned tonight?

Rules:

1.) No internet searches or other reference materials of any kind are allowed. No using friends using internet searches or other reference materials, etc, etc. Otherwise, you're encouraged to get as much help from friends and family as you like.

2.) Exception to Rule #1: if you think that a lyric is from a certain song, you are welcome to look up that song to verify your guess. You should know the difference of whether you are cheating or not.

3.) Teams of 2 to 4 FilmWisers are allowed. Teams are still allowed to solicit help from friends and family. If you're teaming up, please list your team below; only one person per team should submit answers.

4.) Submit all answers via PM to me. Please list your answers in this format: artist – song title. You get 1 point for each correct artist, and 1 point for each correct song -- 120 total points possible.

5.) Submit as often as you like. I’ll reply to let you know which ones are correct. If you send multiple entries, include all of your answers each time (it’s also helpful if you put your updates in bold or another color).

6.) No artist will be repeated, but solo artists may appear both as themselves and as part of a group or duo. If the song has been covered, I'm looking for the first version (well, the first “well known” version).

7. ) Deadline is January 31, 2016

I think I'm teaming up with someone--we _will_ get you answers. At least a couple. :)

I'm never particularly good at these games, but I did recognize quite a few. Answers submitted.

Thanks for doing this, Dawson and Scruluce!
