I hate that Celine Dion song. But stuff like dubstep makes me want to stab spikes in my ears. Random noises played loudly by idiots with no fashion sense. And yes, I know I sound like a grumpy old man.

Thankfully, I have no idea to what you're referring. (Aside from the grumpy old man bit.)

I would give you some songs/groups as examples, but fucked if I know them, I don't listen to the radio much nowadays, but the moment any of that crap comes on it's changed.

I don't know what dubstep is either.
But I am happy to realize that only 4 of these are on my iPod. (although I should probably be embarassed that as many as 4 are on my iPod)

:green: 4 here, too. Truth is, however, "Achy Breaky" is the one on the list I loathe.

Dubstep is (kind of) a form of drum and bass that has only taken on serious popularity in the past few years. Several audio clips can be found on the related Wikipedia page. (And I'm betting that a quick trip to YouTube could provide further examples.)
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

Top of my list too. Horrible in every possible way.

Shiny Happy People should have been there definitely. I don't remember Barbie Girl being so overplayed as to be really irritating though. Who Let the Dogs out was way, way worse. You couldn't watch live sports if you wanted to avoid it.

8. Baha "Men" - Who Let the Dogs Out?

6. Hanson - MMMBop
5. Chumbawumba - Tubthumping
4. Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice Baby
3. Billy Ray Cyrus - Achy Breaky Heart
2. Los del Rio – Macarena
1. Aqua - Barbie Girl
While none of these songs are especially great, I can name a few far worse songs. I must say I loathe a few on this list (What's Up; Heart wil go on; Achy Breaky Heart), but some really are exemplary for the weirdness of the '90s. I hated MMMBop at the time, but it's still a pretty catchy song by a few quite talented guys. Ice Ice Baby is a pretty terrible rap song, but The Ninja Rap is a far worse song by the same 'artist'.

And I somehow quite like Tubhumping. Come on, it's still the drunk party song of choice. And that has to count for something.
Come play with us, Danny. Forever and ever and ever.

True Story, at my local they did a tubthumping kareoke night. If you drank a whiskey drink, vodka drink, lager drink and cider drink you got a tshirt, me and my mate Paul got about 7 tshirts each, he got into a fight with someone singing and we got barred. That night Princess Diana died and I have never been more hungover in my life, all I remember is the smurfs being cancelled... plus my mate Paul wet the bed apparently. Good times

I'm always there. In hindsight, looking at the main patrons, they could have seen something going wrong, but we were youthful back then, in happier more naieve times. Times when a little drink in the local could be jovial, not when there were alcopops and knife fights. We were allowed back in though, which was nice.

I'll dump on Eurythmics - they suck.

Also, how did the Crash Test Dummies escape this list?
It's fun, it's healthy, it's good exercise. The kids will just love it. and we put a little sand inside to make the experience more pleasant.

He couldn't quite explain it
They'd always just been there...
