As good as usual. I missed this show.

I'm about 5 episodes into season 2, and enjoying it quite a bit so far.

The take on the opening, during the episode was funny. At first, when they showed the mosquito and the music started, I asked myself why are they showing the opening again.

I liked the "Where the hell is Benny Gomez" plotline.

Ok, so it's something about Trinity's family, right? First victim in the cycle: young woman with slit throat in bathtub. Second: 30-something woman jumping off building. Third: man bludgeoned. So he's maybe re-enacting this cycle from his past. Maybe his sister died in the tub (killed herself after being abused perhaps?), his mum killed herself out of grief, and then he smashed his father's head in for retribution? Something along those lines. He did call the jumper woman "mommy" when he spread her ashes next to the corpse. Or maybe the ages don't match up; I haven't done the math.

Also, however unlikely, I so want Keith Carradine to be revealed as an even more prolific and successful serial killer than John Lithgow. I get this freaky vibe from him, like he's hiding something important.

Yeah, that's what I figured myself. I was also wondering if you can get a DNA sample from cremated remains and if that's the way they'll tie the murders to him.

That's a theory, but I'd think that was impossible. Wouldn't it be too degraded to find any residual skin cells and/or hair follicles? Especially if those ashes have been in the urn for thirty plus years. Not to mention they haven't even found the ashes yet.

Of course, all my forensic knowledge stems from watching CSI for the last ten years, so I could be full of shit.

Either way, at least we're learning stuff about Trinity.

Season 3 seems to have ended as conveniently as Season 2 did. Whatever happened to leaving some plot lines unresolved?

Spoiler for Season 4, episodes 5 and 6
So last week you kill Keith Carradine, who was blessed with playing one of the best characters on your show. This week, you show me John Lithgow naked, again? Really, Dexter people, I think you got that backwards.

Finished season 1 yesterday. Think it's a good show, although the final 'reveals' were not really all that surprising. Although I now wonder what direction the show is going to take.

Finished season 2 and enjoyed it, but not quite as much as season 1. Thought Lundy was great, Lila annoyed the hell out of me. Hated losing Doakes, but thought it played out well.

Got the first disk for season 3, but Netflix lists disk 2 as "Long Wait" so I'm going to hold off on watching it for a bit.

Me neither, that was pretty awesome.

Right as Debra made the realisation and called Quinn, I paused the episode and said to Carl: "I fucking told you she was the shooter weeks ago", like any smug idiot would. Then the twist came and I just sat there, dumbfounded. "Wait... whaaaaa?"

I didn't suspect her, since I was convinced it was Trinity right from the start. There was also no motive, up until the twist, that is.

I too didn't see that twist, but I've figured her forthe shooter for a while and was surprised there wasn't an immediate "But we never told anyone which way we were facing!" revelation...

I love this show... Really need to go back and watch it from the beginning...

Damn, and I thought last week's episode was good. This one was great. The only thing missing in it was a cliffhanger (not the one with Stallone).

Loved it. John Lithgow has been superb this season, and I kinda like how they tied it in with Christine -- a storyline I didn't care for before. Granted, it's a little convenient (journalist character comes from nowhere and turns out to be important), but I'm going with it. Her relationship with her dad is all kinds of fucked up, and I for one wants to see where else that might lead. The preview for next week looks great too.

Really hate all the Rita drama though. So she's gonna get into this thing with the neighbor, right? Their kid is sick. Cody is getting into fights. Who.Fucking.Cares? I want to see Dexter do his thing, I want to see the police do their investigations, I want to get twists in the cases... I do not, however, care about Dexter's domestic situation. At all.

Actually, thinking more about the last episode, something did bother me. After revealing himself to Arthur, Dexter continues to take his time with him, while Arthur keeps going on with his routine, like nothing happened. It's uncharacteristic of Dexter, and a bit strange for Arthur, who managed to keep his anonymity for several decades.

Arthur and Dexter probably just know the season finale isn't for two more episodes

Anybody know when Season 4 will show in the UK?
I don't know how much longer I can wait.

:green:

Next week is the season finale and I don't know if I'm going to keep Showtime (since funds are kind of limited right now)

Since this is my first season, is Dexter the kind of show to create season-ending cliff-hangers? Or will everything tie up nicely next week?

Each season is a self contained story.
