For some reason, I love opening credits, especially if they're well done. I'm all for visually appealing title credits.

I thought Watchmen was a letdown, but I'll be lying if I said I wasn't impressed by this sequence.

And it wouldn't be right to not mention The Naked Gun when discussing great intros.

Any other great ones?

I thought about Apocalypse Now, but that doesn't have credits over it, just an awesome opening.

Spy hard

fat people swimming underwater farting to a Weird Al Yankovich song wins it every time

But on a more serious note: probably the fight Club inner workings of the gun is my personal favourite, and the old Pink Panther movies

I know it's a FYNC movie but this is a pretty good opening:

FYNC or no, I thought it was a pretty good movie. Certainly, yes, an excellent opening sequence -- telling a fairly jarring story without saying a word ... that's filmwork at its finest.

Almost any one of Saul Bass's title sequences could be included on a list of all-time greats.

One of my favourites is this one:

There isn't a decent version of the Psycho credits on Youtube, but that's beautiful too.

And another Hitchcock, although not Bass, title sequence that should be included here is this one:

And I love this one:

Saw this yesterday for the first time. Couldn't help thinking...straight and to the point.
